Angular Contact Ball Bearings

Angular contact ball bearings have the inner ring and outer ring raceways that are offset relative to each other in the axial direction. As a result, the line through the points of contact between the ball and the raceways is not perpendicular to the bearing axis but makes an angle less than 90 degrees and is defined as the contact angle. Due to this Angular Contact Ball Bearings are capable of taking radial loads and also axial loads in one direction.

Three contact angles of 15°, 25° and 40° are available in the BMD Bearing range. Larger the contact angle, the higher the axial load capacity. But for high speed operation, however, the smaller contact angles are preferred.

They are available in 3 variants, Single row, Double row and 4 Point Contact Angular Ball Bearings.
